A Dayak mandau

A Dayak sword, called Mandau. The steel blade adorned with silver inlay of dots and mata kalong, the upper back of the blade with fine krowit, deer horn hilt  with tufts of goat’s hair, the grained wooden scabbard embellished by three braided rattan knots, fine carving of leeches and aso, six coins glued to the scabbard dated 1900, 1907 and 1912, piso raut with deer horn handle in palm leaf scabbard, beaded girdle with bone ‘knot’ and beaded tassels.
