Gallery & Contact

Gallery Dick Meijer is specialised in archeological objects from pre-Columbian America, Tribal art and rare finds. About 1966 Dick Meijer started his career digging in the Amsterdam earth to find objects from the Dutch past. Later, he became closely acquainted with the cultures of South America, Egypt and the Middle East.

The gallery is housed in a 17th century canalhouse on the Keizersgracht, close to the Rijksmuseum and Amsterdam’s lively antiques quarter. Here you will find a carefully selected collection of terracotta figures, vessels and wooden objects from the America’s and Africa, intriguing objects from the Pacifics and earthenware from the Dutch Golden Age, attracting collectors and museums from all over the world.
